Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal had a dream Indian Premier League 2022 season as he became the highest wicket-taker and won the purple cap with Rajasthan Royals. Chahal revealed Indian skipper Rohit Sharma's advise that helped him to succeed in the IPL and the international cricket.

The 32-year-old Indian spinner often stays in the headlines for his on-field as well as off-field matters as the cricketer dismissed his divorce rumours with wife Dhanashree Verma on Thursday through an Instagram story.

While talking on Sports Yaari, Chahal asserted that Rohit Sharma asked him to bowl in the powerplay as well as end overs, which helped him a lot in the IPL and while playing for Team India. He said, "Before going to the IPL, Rohit Bhai told me to bowl in end overs as well powerplay, I communicated this with Sanju during IPL then it helped my confidence in bowling in these phases and continuing in Indian team as well."

Chahal also broke his silence over former Indian skipper Virat Kohli's form and said, “Look at Virat Kohli’s records. He had a 50+ average in all the formats, has 70 centuries, and 2 Man Of The tournaments in the T20 World Cup. People don’t count his 60-70 runs due to the standards he set for himself."

Chahal is included in the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2022 that is scheduled to take place in the UAE from August 27 while the Men in Blue will begin their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28.
