Team India suffered a shocking 4-wicket defeat against Australia on Tuesday night in their own backyard. Blistering knocks from Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav propelled Team India to 208/6 in the 1st innings, but Australian batters had the last laugh as the visitors chased the target with four balls to spare in the second innings.

While Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel's bowling in the death overs was highly blamed for India's loss in the series opener, India's below-par fielding received a lot of criticism from the cricket fraternity.

Notably, Indian fielders dropped the crucial catches of Cameron Green and Mathew Wade in the second innings which later turned to be costly for Men in Blue as the duo guided the visitors to a thrilling win in the game. Top-order batter Cameron Green scored 61-runs off 30 deliveries while wicket-keeper Mathew Wade remained unbeaten on 45 in 21 balls.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has called out Indian players over their fitness standards terming Rohit Sharma 'overweight.' While analyzing India's performance in the 1st T20I against Australia, Butt compared the fitness of Indian players with the players of Australia, England and South Africa.

"Indian players are the highest-paid cricketers in the world. They play the maximum number of matches. Still, they are not the fittest. If we compare their body structure, teams like South Africa, Australia, and England are much better," said former Pakistan cricketer. Adding further, Salman Butt termed the Indian skipper as overweight and lethargic in the field.

"Some Indian players are overweight and appeared lethargic in the game. The likes of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul looked lazy in the field. But Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya are extremely fit. They have outstanding fitness, if they become fit, they will become more dangerous cricketers," the 37-year-old added.
