Indian captain Rohit Sharma got featured in the upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Mr. and Mrs Mahi’. Sharma’s glimpse was caught in one of the latest released songs of the movie, ‘Agar ho tum’. The star opening batter was part of the first batch that left for the USA on Saturday, May 25, for the T20 World Cup 2024. The tournament is beginning on June 1 with the season-opening clash between co-hosts USA and Canada.
Before beginning their campaign on June 5 against Ireland, the Men in Blue will be up against Bangladesh in a warm-up match. The 37-year-old cricketer, who will lead the side and aim to end India’s decade-long trophy-less draught in the cricketing showpiece, recently was featured in an upcoming movie. Sharma was indirectly a part of ‘Agar ho tum’, the latest song from Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor.
In the song, Janhvi Kapoor could be seen celebrating one of Rohit Sharma’s centuries, which he had scored in 86 deliveries. The music video features the characters of Kapoor and Kumar as newlyweds learning about each other’s hobbies and joys. The song is composed by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Jubin Nautiyal.
Coming back to the Indian skipper, Sharma, who was a part of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024 had an unsuccessful campaign in the cash-rich tournament. MI, the five-time IPL champions, became the first team to be knocked out of the season.
