The Rohit Sharma-led Team India will take on South Africa in the final Test of the two-match series. While the visitors lost the opening Test by a massive margin of an inning and 32 runs, the second Test will commence on Wednesday, 3rd January at the Newlands in Cape Town.
The Men in Blue will aim to put up a fight in the final Test of the series, Rohit Sharma speaking ahead of the Test hinted to continue with same bowling attack despite a below par performance. He also spoke of Prasidh Krishna, who made his debut in the first Test.
“I still feel that sometimes we’ve got a little bit of inexperience in our bowling and sometimes when you have that, you got to show some faith in them. Show trust in them and that can happen to any team. But obliviously for us, like I aid in the last post-match press conference about Prasidh being playing his first game, we all get nervous when you’re playing your first game. It’s understandable,” Rohit Sharma said.
Talking about Prasidh Krishna, the Indian pacer finished with the figures of 1/93 in the 20 overs he bowled. Speaking of the other bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah was the lone standout bowler as he finished with the figures of 4/69 in his 26.4 overs. While Mohammad Siraj scalped two, R Ashwin and Shardul Thakur ended with a wicket each.
