Indian batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer had to leave the pitch in ongoing ODI against England. The first ODI that is currently taking place in Pune saw both the Mumbai stalwarts exiting pitch due to injuries. Rohit Sharma's injury came early in the first innings following a Mark Wood delivery that hit his elbow. This saw the opener not even entering the field for second innings. However, Shreyas Iyer's case turned out to be different. The Mumbai stalwart left the pitch early in second innings (8th over) while making a diving save that injured his left shoulder. Moreover, the concerns have further escalated after latest reports showed that Shreyas has been taken for scans.

Here is the tweet from BCCI:

This sets up a new challenge for Indians who might lose two of their best batsmen for the upcoming games due to injury. However, England fans will be quick to argue that their side is missing Jofra Archer too. Notably, Sam Billings and Eoin Morgan also went through injury scare while fielding. However, the duo came to bat in the second innings and were looking comfortable.
