The first Test between England and New Zealand is heading towards a probable draw with rain forcing an early lunch on the final day. However, the first session on Day 5 did witness some incredible stuff on the field by England. Ollie Robinson continued to impress on his debut as he sent back night-watchman Neil Wagner early in the day. It was followed by Stuart Broad dismissing Tom Latham and Mark Wood taking the big wicket of Ross Taylor. But the moment of the day came when Joe Root sent Henry Nicholls back to the pavilion.

Rory Burns continues to impress at Lord's

While it was the England captain who took the wicket of Nicholls, the centurion of the first innings - Rory Burns deserved the actual credit. As the Kiwi batsman tried to play a reverse-sweep off the bowling of Root, he completely missed it and the ball popped up in the air off his gloves. Burns, who was the only fielder standing at slips, reacted very quickly and produced an outstanding diving effort to complete the catch. The replays confirmed that he had his fingers underneath the ball and Nicholls had to make a long way back to the pavilion courtesy of Burns' brilliance.
