The US Masters T10 league is set to commence from August 18 to August 27 at the Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida. This is the inaugural season of the tournament, where a total of six teams will clash against each other to win the title of the league. 

The tournament is set to feature some of the biggest names to have played cricket, including the likes of Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, Shahid Afridi and more. 

Fans can expect thrilling and action-packed nine days of games, where veterans will come together to take everyone back on a gripping journey of cricket. 

Having said that, here’s everything one needs to know about the upcoming league. 

Format

The upcoming UST10 league will be played on the lines of Indian Premier League. A total of six teams will compete in a round-robin format. The top four of six will enter the playoffs, where the top two teams will fight for the title trophy. In the playoffs, the top two teams will compete in Qualifier 1, where the winner will proceed directly to the finale. 

Remaining two teams will lock horns in Qualifier 2, where the winner will clash against the loser of Q1 in Eliminator. The finale will have the Eliminator winner and Q1 winner going head-to-head to win the first UST10.

Rules

Here are some of the rules that would be followed in the upcoming T10 league: 

  • Each bowler would be allowed to bowl a maximum of two overs. 
  • The powerplay in each inning would last three overs. 
  • In case of any tie in the game, a Super Over will be played. However, if a tie still persists by the end of the Super Over, more Super Overs will be played till there is a winner.
