International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21 to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. The theme of this year’s Yoga Day is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, which means ‘Yoga for the welfare of all’. On this occasion, several cricketers from India and other countries and sports personalities across the border took to extend greetings and emphasis on the pros of yoga. 

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar posted a picture of him doing Shirshasana or headstand pose and wrote, “Yoga helps increase the teamwork between the body and the mind. Which is your favorite Yoga asana?”

Former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Pragyan Ojha also celebrated International Yoga Day in their unique way. Sehwag posted a video of him doing Shirshasana and wrote, “Wishing you a great #internationaldayofyoga.”  Ojha shared a picture of him doing Vrikshasana and wrote, “Happy International Yoga Day! Embracing this ancient practice promotes physical and mental well-being, fostering harmony and inner peace. Let’s unite in harnessing the power of yoga to cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and enhance overall health.”
MI star Suryakumar Yadav wished in a unique way as he posted a collage of his 360-degree shots on his Instagram stories which show flexibility and wrote, “International Yoga Day it is, Wishing everyone good health and peace.” Ajinkya and other sports personalities also shared the importance of yoga and extended greetings on the same.
