FC Bayern are strong contenders - but it’s still open and not completed as Sadio wanted to wait for the final.”

Before Liverpool’s Champions League final Mane had revealed that he would soon deliver an update regarding his future. He had said, “Honestly I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good. And I am fully focused on Saturday's game, that is the answer I must give before the final. But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It's special. I will give you all you want to hear then.”

“I love what I am doing and I sacrifice myself all the time. I am working hard every single day on the pitch and in the gym and I get better and better, that's the most important. I am trying my best to help the team.”

Whereas Mane’s teammate Mohammed Salah was also amidst a lot of transfer related rumours but before the Champions League final he cleared out all speculations and confirmed that he will continue with the club. While speaking at Liverpool's pre-Champions League media conference, the Egypt international said, “I am just focused on the team and don't want to talk about my contract. But I am staying next season for sure, that's for sure.”

“In my mind, I don't focus about the contract at the moment. I don't want to be selfish. I said two months ago, it's all about the team now. It's a really important week for us, so I am just focused on the team. I want to win the Champions League again,” he continued.
