Just days after announcing separation with Indian badminton player and estranged husband Parupalli Kashyap, former India number one, Saina Nehwal was spotted together. It is to be noted that earlier in July, the Indian badminton community received massive shock after Nehwal confirmed her decision to part ways with Kashyap.
The Olympic bronze medallist, who had been together with Kashyap since long and eventually tied a knot in December 2018, took to her Instagram story to share an update on her relationship with the Indian veteran. "Life takes us in different directions sometimes. After much thought and consideration, Kashyap Parupalli and I have decided to part ways. We're choosing peace, growth, and healing-for ourselves and each other. I'm grateful for the memories and wish nothing but the best moving forward. Thank you for understanding and respecting our privacy during this time," she wrote.

But recently, the star badminton player once again got into limelight as she was spotted with Kashyap, just weeks after announcing separation. As the couple have decided to give a second chance to their marriage, in a post shared on Saina Nehwal’s Instagram handle, she also highlighted how distance actually teaches the value of presence. “Sometimes distance teaches you the value of presence. Here we are—trying again. ❤️❤️” Nehwal’s post read.
The couple have been together for over a decade. While the two grew up in rank together in the Indian badminton circuit at the Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad. While Nehwal attained World No. 1 ranking after winning an Olympic bronze medal, Kashyap too carved his own legacy, with winning a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
