After an exhilarating opening race in Bahrain, Formula 1 moves to Jeddah for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Carrying their winning form from last season, Red Bull started the new season with a 1-2 podium. Two-time defending champion Max Verstappen kick started 2023 with a dominant win ahead of his partner Sergio Perez. 


Finishing third on the podium, two-time F1 champion Fernando Alonso and his Aston Martin pulled off an incredible performance and have emerged as the surprise team of the season. Behind Alonso, his countryman Carlos Sainz finished fourth as the only Ferrari driver as Charles Leclerc got an early DNF. Rounding off the top five, Mercedes’ seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton had a decent performance as he managed to beat his teammate, George Russell.
