Coppa Italia 2023 champions Inter Milan are scheduled to face Atalanta at the San Siro stadium on Saturday night. In the Serie-A 2022-23 standings, the Nerazzurri are placed third with 66 points while Atalanta are in the race for a top-four finish as they have managed the fifth spot with 61 points.
Inter Milan won the Coppa Italia title over the weekend with a 2-1 win over Fiorentina as Lautaro Martinez scored a brace to provide the victory to his side. The ten-point reduction for Juventus has pushed Inter comfortably into the Champions League places as they are five points ahead of the fifth-placed Atalanta. Inter have won five of their last six league games and have lost just twice at home since the start of April across all competitions.
Atalanta suffered a bump in their quest for the top four as they lost two straight games against Juventus and Salernitana but they came back with a 3-1 win over Verona in the last game. Gasperini’s men have also won just once in their previous three away matches. A win here could propel them to the top four. They have also lost their free-scoring form as they have managed to score just three goals in their last three games, which came in their previous game alone.
