Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer won the hearts of every cricket fans as he gifted a pair of shoes to Jaskiran Singh, who was a net bowler for Pakistan and Bangladesh in Dubai in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. During the final training day ahead of India’s upcoming fixture in Dubai on March 2, Iyer approached Jaskiran, who was fielding at long off and handed him the new spikes.
After receiving the gift, spin bowler Jaskiran Singh said that Shreyas Iyer came to him and asked his shoe size "Shreyas bhai came up to me and asked 'what's your shoe size'? I said 10, and then he said I've got something for you and he gave me these spikes. It really means a lot," Jaskiran was quoted as saying by India Today.

Speaking further, Jaskiran Singh said that it was a special moment of his life to get a gift from Shreyas Iyer. "I am a part of the ICC net bowling team for the Champions Trophy. Today was one such special moment of my life. Received these spikes from Shreyas Iyer,” Jaskiran said.
"In this tournament, I've fielded for them (India) but was waiting for an opportunity to bowl to them. I've bowled to Pakistan and Bangladesh; that was a really good experience. And then this, coming from Shreyas Bhai means a lot," he further said.
India are set to face New Zealand in their last league match of the Champions Trophy 2025. The match will be played at Dubai International Cricket Ground. Both the teams are currently unbeaten in the ongoing tournament and the winning team will finish at the top of the points table in group A.
