India's rising cricketer Shubman Gill, who has emerged as the side's one of the most reliable batters lately, turned 24 on September 8, Friday. The cricketer is currently in Sri Lanka for the ongoing Asia Cup 2023; however, his fans came up with a heartwarming idea to celebrate his birthday. A group of Gill's fans made the day special by celebrating his birthday with underprivileged children.

A video has been doing rounds on social media, where some fans distributed food packets to needy children. A non-profit group called Easy Foundation has been feeding kids using the money they get through donations by people throughout the country. On the occasion of Gill's birthday, his fan group called 'Shubman Gill ke 14' donated money to the NGO and asked them to feed the children.

The video has gone viral on social media, where the NGO not only distributed food packets to the kids, but also cut cake to celebrate the cricketer's birthday. Speaking of the India batter, he is currently a part of the Indian contingent for the Asia Cup 2023. In India's season opener in the tournament, Gill failed to perform and could come up with only 10 runs off 32 balls.

However, the Punjab-born cricketer made a solid comeback in their next game against Nepal and played an explosive 67* run inning off 62 ball.
