After Elon Musk bought Twitter, fans haven’t stopped suggesting his next big takeover. This news got more notoriety as Musk jokingly tweeted that he wants to buy the soft drink giant Coca Cola. Among these countless fans, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill also tweeted his suggestion and asked Elon Musk to take over the food delivery app Swiggy.
Gill demanded this sale as Swiggy is not delivering on time and hence wants Elon Musk to improve their services. The 22-year-old’s tweet said, “Elon musk, please buy swiggy so they can deliver on time. @elonmusk #swiggy”.
Currently, Shubman Gill has been playing for the Gujarat Titans, where he is the focal point of their batting. The youngster had started off IPL with great performances and piled up a lot of runs at the start of this season. But recently, Gill has been lacking with the bat and has failed to convert his good starts.
So far in the tournament, Shubman Gill has scored 229 runs in eight games while averaging below 30. But his recent failures haven’t really pushed the Gujarat Titans back as they have won seven of their first eight games. Now they are also just one win behind locking their spot in the playoffs.
Gill’s performance this season have garnered a lot of praise from cricking experts. Former India coach Ravi Shastri also complimented the youngster as he called him “pure talent” after Gill hit 84 against Delhi Capitals. Shastri said, “That guy is one of the most quality players in this country and world cricket. He’ll score once he gets rolling, and he makes it seem simple. He’s got that punch, he’s got the time, and he’s got the strength to clear the ground.”
“He was designed specifically for this game’s format. It’s merely his shot selection and strike rotation, both of which he discussed. There were very few dot balls today, which relieved him of some of the burdens. And he’ll be the one to throw the bad balls away,“ Shastri continued.
