Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul lit up the Brabourne Stadium as he scored his third IPL century against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians. Lucknow lost the toss and was put into bat when Rahul walked out and looked in a great rhythm from ball one. In his 103 run-knock, the Karnataka batter hit nine fours and five sixes with a strike rate of 171.67.

Rahul specifically enjoys batting against the Mumbai Indians as this was his second century against them while averaging over 70. The Super Giants went on to score 199 runs as Manish Pandey scored 38 off 29 while opener Quinton de Kock hit a quickfire 24 in 13 balls. For MI, Jaidev Unadkat was their best bowler as he took two wickets for 32 runs in his four overs.
