Roger Federer was a Swiss professional tennis player who played for a period of 24 years from 1998-2022. Federer at his prime dominated this sport in his prime years from 2003-2009. He was ranked number 1 by ATP for 237 weeks consecutively and moreover, he has won 20 major men's singles titles (6 Australian Open, 1 French Open, 8 Wimbledon, and 5 US Open titles) which is third highest after Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Roger Federer has created a legacy for himself over the years as one of the greatest players to have played tennis in the world but after Wimbledon 2021 he didn't play any singles tournament and later he announced his retirement from professional tennis sport after Laver Cup 2022 in September. Roger Federer vs Pete Sampras ( 2001 Wimbledon 4th Round) Roger Federer playing his 3rd Wimbledon tournament in 2001 was facing Pete Sampras in the 4th round after defeating other opponents like Christophe Rochus (1st Round), Xavier Malisse (2nd Round), and Jonas Bjorkman (3rd round) respectively.
