Skip Bayless, who is a well-known American sports columnist, has surprisingly chosen Lebron James over Steph Curry to win the NBA Western Conference semi-final. Skip Bayless has been a well widely known critic of the NBA's all-time leading point scorer, however, he caught the Lakers fans off guard with his shocking announcement on social media.

Defending champions Golden State Warriors defeated Sacramento Kings 4-3 to qualify for the Conference Semifinals, where they will face LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers, who defeated Memphis Grizzlies 4-2 in the first round, in the seven-game semi-final series.

It will interesting to see if the columnist has switched sides or if it was just sarcasm. Skip Bayless took to Twitter on Sunday night  and tweeted, "Bring on Steph vs LeBron. I'm going with ... LeBron."

It was shocking to see Bayless, who  is known for slandering LeBron James publicly,  supporting the Lakers forward. It was surprising also because Curry has performed significantly well than LeBron in their respecting first-round matchups. LeBron averaged 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists, a big downgrade from his career playoff average. Meanwhile, Curry has heightened his level of play and averaged 33.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists against the Kings.

Fans said that this might be another trick by Skip Bayless to degrade Lebron James further. If LeBron and the Lakers succeed, he will downplay the victory by claiming that he predicted it would happen and that we shouldn't applaud the team for carrying out what he knew would happen. If LeBron and the Lakers lose, he will have a greater opportunity to criticize LeBron by saying that he was the favorite and that his failure to win the series has disappointed everyone.

Lebron James-led Los Angeles Lakers will take on Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors in the first game of the conference semi-finals on Wednesday, May 3 at 7:30 am IST.
