The final four Olympic slots in men's basketball event have now been confirmed after a thrilling day of FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament Final. We now have the final list of 12 teams who will compete for in Tokyo after Slovenia, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic won their respective matches on Sunday. All the qualified teams have also been placed in respective groups.

What happened in the qualifying finals?

In the first finals of the day, Slovenia defeated Lithuania 96-85 at their home. Luka Doncic was the star of the match as he registered 31 points and 11 assists to guide his side to an emphatic win in the end. In the second match, it was Germany who came out on top in their clash against Brazil in Croatia. Moritz Wagner scored 28 points as Germany won the match 75-64 and qualified for the Olympics for the first time since 2008.

Italy secured the third spot after registering a hard-fought 102-95 win against home-side Serbia in a thrilling encounter. Nico Mannion scored 24 points as the 2016 Olympics silver-medalist were knocked out. The Czech Republic grabbed the final spot as they beat Greece 97-72 in Canada as they qualified for the Olympics for the first time ever.
