The 2022 summer transfer window is just a fortnight away, and reports regarding the transfer move of several players have already started buzzing around. In the latest development, Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski has reaffirmed his stance on wanting to leave the club at any cost and hinted that Barcelona is his preferred choice.

Robert Lewandowski's contract with Bayern runs until 2023, but he has cleared his stand that he has not intended to sign a contract extension and wants to walk away. Notably, the 33-year-old applied for a transfer last month.

While speaking at Sport Onet, Robert Lewandowski reiterated that he wants to leave Bayern Munich, stating that 'something has died'. "I want to leave Bayern. Loyalty and respect are more important than work. It is best to find a solution together. Something has died in me, and it is impossible to survive," he told Sport Onet.

He also made it clear that he would not consider any other proposal except Barcelona. Robert Lewandowski's frustrations continued when he warned Bayern that none of the would-be stars would want to join the club in the future unless they let him finish his eight-year stint at the Allianz Stadium.

While Robert Lewandowski is ready to leave the club, reports have suggested that Liverpool striker Sadio Mane could be a potential replacement this summer.

Robert Lewandowski also stated, "What player would want to go to Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to him? Where then loyalty and respect? I was always ready, I spent eight wonderful years here, met wonderful people, and I would like it to remain in my memory."

Robert Lewandowski had a sensational 8-year stay at Bayern, scoring 344 goals in 375 matches. This season, he scored 50 goals in 46 games. Since moving from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, Bayern Munich No. 9 has won 14 major honors at the club, including eight Bundesliga titles and the 2019-2020 Champions League.
