Former India captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has been back in news after he made a huge statement on the World Cup 2023. The India great who gave a strong statement on whether the 2023 World Cup will be last for the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, again took the limelight after he quoted his meeting with the IPL Delhi Capitals owner Parth Jindal as “pure gold”.
The 50-year-old who joined the IPL franchise Delhi Capitals ahead of the 2023 edition as the Director of Cricket recently shared a picture with the DC owner Parth Jindal and his family, which also had Ganguly’s wife in it. While sharing the picture on social media, what caught the attention was the caption which he wrote with the picture.
“Best people ….. have met so many .. none like this .. gold …. pure gold .. love u,” he captioned the post.
Talking about Delhi Capital’s IPL 2023 campaign, the franchise finished at ninth place in the points table, after a dismal season. The franchise literally missed the services of skipper Rishabh Pant, who missed the entire season after surviving a horrific car accident last year. Under the leadership of David Warner, the Delhi-based franchise finished with 10 points after winning five of the 14 matches. They also were the first team to get knocked out from the 2023 edition of the tournament.
