The South African team will be wearing a pink jersey instead of the green in the first ODI of the series against India on Saturday, December 17, at the New Wanderers Stadium, in Johannesburg. The Proteas will have this wardrobe change as part of the tradition of Pink Day ODIs, where the South African team showcases support towards breast cancer awareness.

Cricket South Africa has been at the forefront of this initiative and urged all its citizens to actively participate in this significant cause by wearing pink shirts. Notably, the costs of the matches will go to support initiatives related to breast cancer.

Talking about this tradition,  Cricket South Africa's CEO Pholetsi Moseki said: " We are delighted to once again raise awareness on breast cancer with cricket fans.  To help in the fight against breast cancer, awareness alone is not enough."

"We encourage people to be proactive and get screened. Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer among women in South Africa, but it can affect men as well. Early detection can lead to effective treatment and a positive outcome," he added.

KL Rahul gives major update on Rinku and Sanju in ODIs

KL Rahul, the Indian captain for the three-match ODI series against South Africa, dropped a major update about the future of Rinku Singh and Sanju Samson.  Apart from talking about Rinku, Rahul shared that the Kolkata Knight Riders star will get a chance in this series. While speaking on  Sanju Samson, the Indian captain revealed the Kerela star will be batting in the middle order.
