South Africa will take on India in the two-match Test series, starting December 26 in Centurion. However, the three-match T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw, the KL Rahul-led Men in Blue sealed the ODI leg of the tour by 2-1 margin. After the completion of the white-ball tour, the action now shifts to the Test series, first of which will be played at the SuperSport Park in centurion from December 26 to 30th.

For India, the team will see return of Virat Kohli, skipper Rohit Sharma, R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah among others after the side’s ODI World Cup final loss against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the Proteas Men will also see the return of Kagiso Rabada, skipper Temba Bavuma.
But as we speak hours ahead of the first Test between South Africa and India, the weather in Centurion might pose some hindrance to the game. Speaking of Day 1, that is December 26, there remains a 98 per cent chance of rain. The conditions haven’t been great as there have been showers off late. Even Day 2 of the first Test will have considerable cloudiness and couple of showers. The temperature is also likely to be around 21-19 degree Celsius, as per Accuweather.
However there remains probability of rain all throughout the course of the first Test, with clouds and showers at times, but the probability is likely to drop down with each passing day. With rain threat looming over the first Test, likely to impact the proceeding in Centurion, the series could just be a one-match affair.
