The sports world tries to do its best to provide sportsperson with as much facilities, equipment, and gear as it can so that they cat get better at their sport. The government officials have tried to build new stadiums, include more spaces, build better facilities, get funds for more equipment and build relations in order to conduct multiple leagues. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, officials have had to plan multiple backup options with more medical support to conduct tournaments.

The Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur took to Twitter to share the picture of the football stadium that is being built in Spituk, Leh. The foundation for all the new sports facilities was laid down by the former Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju that included a synthetic track and AstroTurf for football. Thakur took to Twitter to share a photograph of the stadium. He also tweeted and mentioned how sports infrastructure in India is getting better and reaching greater heights.

Notably, the stadium has been funded as part of Khelo India sports infrastructure.

The stadium is no less than a dream for the people in Spituk and children who aspire to become professional football players. Ladakh will surely have another feather added to their cap after the stadium is opened for the local public and starts to host football matches amidst a beautiful landscape. The stadium is in its advanced stages and will be opening its doors soon. Indian Para-athlete Ekta Bhyan commented on the picture and wrote: "Wonder in itself."
