In a recent development, SunRisers Hyderabad announced their star all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remaining IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury. The IPL franchise took to its official Twitter handle and shared the Indian all-rounder's injury update on Thursday.
In the IPL 2023, Sundar played seven matches and scored 60 runs while batting at the lower middle over with a strike rate of 100. The all-rounder has picked three wickets in bowling for SRH. During Hyderabad's last match against Delhi Capitals, Sundar registered his best figures of the season with an unbeaten knock of 24 runs off 15 balls and picking 3/28 in his four overs.

SRH captioned, "Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 due to a hamstring injury. Speedy recovery, Washi 🧡"
In 2021, the 23-year-old was forced to miss the latter part of the Indian Premier League due to a finger injury, and a COVID-19 infection kept him away from international cricket following the end of the season.
On the international front, Sundar featured for the Indian team in ODIs and T20Is against Sri Lanka and New Zealand respectively this year and was also included in the Men in Blue squad for the three-match series against Australia but couldn't make into the playing XI.
