The Pakistan cricket team has been dealt with a major blow as their star batter has been reportedly ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2022. The Men in Green is already out of contention to lift the T20 World Cup but with bleak chances to advancing further, they have received another massive news.

Key batter Fakhar Zaman has already been ruled out in the side’s match against South Africa and his participation in the remainder of the tournament also remains doubtful. The top-order batter aggravated his knee injury.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Najeeb Soomro told media in Sydney that the player and team management were aware of risks bringing him in the marquee tournament.

“We know that Fakhar had a knee injury in Asia Cup, which is about seven weeks ago. He has been incredibly brave, resilient and has worked really hard to come back to the team”, added Najeeb.
