Indian women’s cricket team’s wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia revealed a few days back that she was the victim of robbery during her stay at a hotel in London, England.

She alleged that her valuables including cash, jewellery, and cards were stolen from her hotel room. The Indian cricketer slammed the hotel management for not providing a secure service. Now, Bhatia has shared another tweet claiming that no action has been taken by the hotel management since the complaint.

The 24-year-old said that she is disappointed at the laid-back attitude of the hotel management.

“I still haven’t recd any response from the hotel management, @Marriott. This is quite disappointing. The items that were stolen from my room were both valuable and important to me. Has any action been taken since the theft? An update would be much appreciated,” tweeted Bhatia on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the hotel management claimed that they have tried to reach the cricketer multiple times since she revealed the incident but were unsuccessful. It also said that the management is doing everything at their disposal and supporting the police with their investigation.

“Hi Taniyaa, The hotel management has tried to contact you a number of times, unfortunately without success. They are supporting the police with their investigation. Could you DM contact details so that they can discuss with you directly?” replied Mariott Bonvoy Assist to Bhatia’s tweet.

Notably, the Indian women's cricket team recently toured England for the white-ball series. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led team played three T20Is and as many ODIs on the tour. While India lost the T20I series 1-2, they took the ODI series 3-0.
