The Sunrisers Hyderabad was set to be among the big spenders as they started this IPL auction with a purse of INR 34 crore. 2016 IPL champs started their auction by picking up Travis Head for INR 6.80 Crore in the first set which included capped batters.

Then in the second set of capped all-rounders,  Sunrisers Hyderabad went all-in for Australian captain Pat Cummins. Battling with the likes of Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore; the Hyderabad-based franchise paid a ginormous sum of INR 20.50 Crore to acquire Cummins.

Celebrating these massive bids for his teammates, David Warner tried to share posts from  Sunrisers Hyderabad's social media accounts. But as per Warner's Instagram stories, the former SRH captain was blocked by his former franchise across platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
