Amid the ongoing divorce rumours, Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik penned an emotional post for wife and Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza after her final Grand Slam appearance. Notably, the Indian duo of Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna finished as the runners-up in the Australian Open 2023 Mixed Doubles final after losing to the Brazilian pair of Luisa Stefani-Rafael Matos on Saturday (January 27).

The Pakistan cricketer Malik hailed the Indian tennis star for her achievements on the court. “You are the much-needed hope for all the women in sports. Super proud of you for all you have achieved in your career. You’re an inspiration for many, keep going strong. Many congratulations on an unbelievable career,” Malik tweeted.
Talking more about Sania Mirza’s achievements, the 36-year-old ended her international career with six Grand Slam wins. While three came in the women’s doubles, three others came in mixed doubles. The Indian ace also hailed doubles partner Rohan Bopanna with whom she started her mixed doubles career.
It is to be noted that Dubai Open will be Sania Mirza’s last tournament in professional tennis. The tournament will be played from 25 February until March 5, 2023.
