The World No. 1 ranked T20I batter, Suryakumar Yadav who is racing against time to get fit, will reportedly miss the starting two games from Mumbai Indians. The 33-year-old is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru post his sports hernia surgery. However, he is set to make his return during the IPL, but his availability in the opening two games remains under doubt.   Check the top betting trends on the  best betting apps in India  and sites.

“Surya’s rehabilitation is on track and he will certainly ‘Return to Play’ in the IPL itself. However, it is not clear whether the NCA’s Sports Science and medical team will give clearance to play in the first two games against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad (March 27),” a BCCI source told PTI on the condition of anonymity.

“There are still 12 days to go before MI play their first game but it could be a race against time to get fit by the first match itself,” the source further added as quoted by PTI.

As far as Suryakumar Yadav’s fitness is concerned, the Indian batter has been keeping everyone update through his social media handles. However, he did not post anything in regard to his return to batting, but in his latest video shared featuring Arshdeep Singh, he can be seen mimicking a dialogue from Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

Speaking about the Mumbai batter, SKY has been a vital cog in the MI colours. IN IPL 2023, he was the highest run-getter for MI, scoring 605 runs from 16 innings at an average of 43.21 and trike rate of 181.13.
