Mumbai Indians’ veteran batter Suryakumar Yadav made his cricketing comeback as he played his first IPL 2024 match. Yadav returned to action when Mumbai hosted Delhi Capitals for an intense thriller at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The visiting skipper won the toss and invited the rivals to put the score on the board first. Mumbai, who came into the match without having recorded any wins in the tournament, got off to a brilliant start.
Suryakumar joined Kishan after Rohit Sharma’s wicket, and the cricketer who was playing his first game of the IPL 2024 was looking promising to come up with a good score. Yadav was away from the field since India’s tour to South Africa after suffering an ankle injury. He had also suffered a sports hernia infection which took him so long to come back.
