While the Round 1 matches of the T20 World Cup 2021 are already underway, they are being played concurrently with the warm-up fixtures for the team's guaranteed of a Super 12 berth. Thus, while the Round 1 fixtures will continue as scheduled on October 20, 2021 but as many as 4 practice matches will also be played on Wednesday.

Prior to playing their respective opening games, the sides would look to fine-tune a few of their teams' skills but more importantly close in on a combination suitable for these conditions.

The Super 12 stage commences from October 23 with India's game against Pakistan scheduled on October 24. While India won their opening warm-up fixture against England, they have a warm-up match lined up in a few hours from now.
