After a heartbreaking loss at the ODI World Cup 2023 final in India, the Men in Blue will eye to put up a strong performance at the T20 World Cup 2024. The 2024 edition of the World Cup will be held jointly in the USA and the Caribbean in June 2024.
However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is all set to announce the schedule of the marquee tournament in the coming days. As reported by several media houses, the ICC is set to be announce the schedule on January 8.
Moreover, with reports surfacing, India will take on Pakistan on June 9 in New York. Moreover, India will begin their campaign against Ireland before they take their arch-rivals. The inaugural champions of T20 World Cup, India will reportedly play their group stage matches across USA, while their Super 8 matches will be held in West Indies. Additionally, the two semifinals are scheduled to be staged on June 26 and 27 with the final scheduled on June 30.
India’s T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule:
June 5: India vs Ireland
June 9: India vs Pakistan
June 12: India vs USA
June 15: India vs Canada
This will be the first time the USA will host an ICC tournament to promote the sport in the country. The tournament will have a total of 20 teams, which are divided into four groups with each group having five teams.
