Being a public personality is difficult these days. From Bollywood actors to cricketers, every celebrity has been a victim of trolling. Some trolling are fun and light but some can be just cruel and mean. Something similar was witnessed on Monday when a user trolled Ravichandran Ashwin for staying late in stadium to watch Pakistan vs England match.
Notably, India defeated Australia in a thriller practice match on Monday and the whole team stayed for a while to watch Pakistan vs England match, which started just after the conclusion of Aus vs Ind match. However, whole team left after watching the first 6 overs except for spinner Ashwin, who stayed late to watch Pakistan’s innings.
While many fans praised the spinner for staying and analysing the Pakistan batters as a preparation for the upcoming game against the Men in Blue, a user went to cheeky road and took a dig at Ashwin by stating that the latter was just taking notes of who is leaving non striker crease early.
Notably, Ravichandran Ashwin had dismissed England’s Jos Buttler at the non-striker’s end in IPL 2019. The spinner was heavily criticised for the act but he always defended his action and the ICC also made the changes to its rules couple of years later and termed it as legal run-out.
