Indian cricket fans slammed Sanju Samson for putting up a poor batting show in the second ODI against South Africa on December 19. The KL Rahul-led side locked horns with Aiden Markram in the second of the three-match series in Gqeberha on Tuesday. The Men in Blue gained an early lead in the series by defeating their counterparts in the series opener. While the Indians were looking forward to continuing their dominance, the Proteas’ bowling unit proved to be lethal for the visitors.
Sanju Samson, who made his return to the Indian squad after a long gap, was expected to deliver a decent performance. However, the 29-year-old failed to live up to fans’ expectations and got dismissed after his short 23-ball 13-run stint. Sanju’s poor performance didn’t go well with the fans and they took to social media to slam the cricketer.

Sai Sudarshan became the highest scorer for the Indian side with 62 runs off 83 balls, scoring his second consecutive half-century in just two ODI matches in his career. The entire Indian team surrendered to the Markram-led side after scoring 211 runs.
