Majority of the players participated in the 3-day practice game against a County Select XI which ended in a draw. With a few days left for the series to begin, the bowlers looked completely focused in the practice session.

The Indian fans are very excited for the upcoming Test series as they will get to see a face-off between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and England skipper Joe Root. The fans of both the teams have already started sharing their excitement for the game on social media.

Kohli on the cusp of breaking new records

Virat Kohli will once again be at the center of attention in the upcoming series as he can achieve 4 milestones. Kohli needs another 258 runs to complete 2000 Test runs against the English team. The Team India skipper needs two more centuries to equal Tendulkar and Dravid’s record of most centuries by an Indian against England. Furthermore, Kohli needs one century to leapfrog former Australian captain Ricky Ponting’s tally of 70 centuries across the formats. He will also become the player with most centuries, only behind Sachin Tendulkar.
