The COVID-19 pandemic has caused much havoc within cricket camps all over the world. Players, support staff, management testing positive for the virus has caused games to be postponed, delayed, cancelled and rescheduled. Even after being vaccinated, the COVID-19 cases seem to loom over us.

The latest victim of this virus happen to be members of the Pakistan Cricket Board. The board went on to confirm 10 positive cases of COVID-19 among its staff members. According to an official statement made by PCB, it has been revealed that five ground employees and five members of the PCB staff have contracted the deadly virus.

However, notably, the Pakistan Cricket Board has already administered booster shots for all its staff. The infected members have been isolated after their tests came positive. Meanwhile, the PCB has said that all Coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) will be followed and all meetings will be virtual, while the staff will strictly abide by the protocols.

All the infected members are quarantined at their homes and instructions have already been issued in the PCB headquarters to strictly follow the protocols.

Notably, the Pakistan Super League tournament also went on to announce strict quarantine rules for the safety of those involved.
