The clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier this week ended on a controversial note as RCB’s batter Virat Kohli and LSG’s mentor, former India player, Gautam Gambhir engaged in an ugly spat following the match. While the Board for Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) fined them with 100 per cent of their match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct, the internet got divided in opinions in no time. Several former players and big names in the cricketing world condemned Kohli and Gambhir’s behaviour. However, former player Yuvraj Singh came up with a cheeky comment on the incident.

According to Singh, both Gambhir and Kohli should join hands with the famous carbonated drink brand Sprite to hire Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir for their advertisement campaign “Thand Rakh”. Taking on to Twitter, Yuvraj said, “I think #Sprite should sign #Gauti and #Cheeku for their campaign #ThandRakh 🤪🥶 what say guys? 😎  @GautamGambhi @imVkohli @Sprite”.

His unconventional way of making peace between the two high-profile personalities earned a lot of hilarious replies.

Notably, the rivalry between the Delhi boys dates back to 2013, and it wasn’t the first time the duo engaged in a verbal spat. However, considering their stature in the cricket fraternity and the individual stage of careers both are in, they are expected to behave in a particular way, irrespective of who said what and who did what.

Speaking of the tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore will clash against Delhi Capitals at the latter's home on May 6. On the flip side, Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns with the reigning champions Gujarat Titans on May 7.
