Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” is back in the WWE, and on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown, he laid out a challenge to Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins for a tag team match alongside Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. The Rock’s challenge was in response to Cody Rhodes wanting a one-on-one match against him, to which he said, “No.”
During his elongated promo, The Rock said that he is coming after Cody Rhodes for a WrestleMania fight, but he will not be alone in taking him on. The self-proclaimed People’s Champion insisted that he would rather team up with his cousin Roman Reigns for a tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at the showcase of the immortals.
Further elaborating on the conditions of the tag team match, he exclaimed that if Cody and Seth emerged victorious, the Bloodline would be banned further from ringside for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania later on. However, if The Rock and Roman Reigns' duo win the tag team match, the Bloodline will do whatever they want in the championship match.
Although there have been no comments from Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on the challenge laid by The Rock, as of this writing. Moreover, some fans are intrigued about the potential plan of The Rock to lose intentionally in the tag team match to turn his back on Roman Reigns.
