Los Angeles Lakers have recently signed Patrick Beverley from Minnesota Timberwolves under a one-year contract worth $13 million. The former Timberwolves point guard will play in the upcoming NBA season alongside LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

Minnesota Timberwolves reached the NBA 2021-22 Playoffs, where they faced a 4-2 defeat against LA Clippers while LA Lakers failed to qualify for the Playoffs stage. Beverley is expected to fill the defensive position, which was vacated since Alex Caruso's departure to Chicago Bulls.

While talking to  Spectrum SportsNet reporter Mike Bresnahan, Beverley picked Lakers over Clippers and gave an arrogant reply when asked about playing with NBA legend LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

He said, "I know what it feels to be a Laker and a Clipper, I've been on both sides, and I like it over here a little bit better."

The reporter asked, " You'll be playing with LeBron James and Anthony Davis..." The point guard interrupted and said,  "They're gonna be playing with me. I made the playoffs last year, they didn't. It's a difference."
