In the latest updates of the wrestlers’ protest against the outgoing Wrestling Federation of India Chief and BJP MP, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the Delhi Police reportedly took Sangeeta Phogat to the WFI Chief’s residence. The wrestler was brought to the official residence of Sharan on Friday to reconstruct the incident that led to the alleged sexual harassment. Amid the row, the 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist and Sangeeta’s sister, Vinesh Phogat slammed the WFI Chief.

According to a report by PTI, Phogat was accompanied by female police constables. Amid this, Vinesh criticised the BJP MP for the same. "This is the power of Brij Bhushan. He is busy harassing women wrestlers by using his muscle power, political power and running false narratives, so his arrest is necessary. If the police arrests him instead of breaking us, there is hope of justice, otherwise not. Women wrestlers had gone to the crime site for police investigation, but it was run in the media that they had gone to compromise," wrote Vinesh on Twitter in Hindi.

According to the reports, "At 1.30 pm women officers took Sangeeta Phogat to Brij Bhushan's official residence in Delhi. They were there for half an hour. They asked her to recreate the scene and recall the places where she faced harassment."

Notably, Vinesh Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat, along with Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik have been on a protest against the WFI Chief since April 2023. They have accused the chief of harassing seven female wrestlers, including one minor.
