David Warner got an opportunity to play against his ex-franchise for the first time in the tournament and he pounced on every bit of it. The Delhi Capitals (DC) opener played a match-winning knock of 92* (58). Warner looked in no mood to show any mercy and smashed every SRH bowler.

He got a really good ally in Rovman Powell who took care of the runs in the slog overs. The young batter from West Indies played a quickfire knock of 67* off 35 balls. He hit six massive sixes in his innings of 67. On the back of these two fiery knocks, DC posted 207 on the board and then caught SRH short by 21 runs.

Khaleel Ahmed was the star for DC with the ball as the left-arm quick took three wickets and conceded only 30 runs. He was ably supported by Shardul Thakur (2/44) and Anrich Nortje (1/35).
