Delhi Capitals outplayed Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 50th game of the Indian Premier League on May 6 at Delhi’s home. Even after setting up a score of 181 for their hosts to chase, the Faf-led squad went down by seven wickets. All credits to Phil Salt’s volcano-like inning of 87 off 45, Delhi Capitals successfully chased down the target of 182 with 20 balls to spare. On the losing side, Virat Kohli’s 55 runs off 46 balls went in vain and couldn’t help the team to register a win in his ‘homecoming’ match. Even though Delhi spoilsport everything, the RCB legend was seen in a jolly mood and was spotted having a fun interaction with the DC squad.

After the match, Virat Kohli was seen interacting with Ishant Sharma and players of the Delhi Capitals squad. In several posts circulating on social media, the Delhi-born cricketer was seen in a joyful mood and was chit-chatting with the DC boys. The official account of Delhi Capitals also posted a picture of the players and captioned it “Toh Chalein Rama ke Chole Bhature khane? 😋”

Notably, Ishant Sharma and Virat Kohli share a special bond as both the players belong to Delhi. Coming from the same town, both the players played a lot of cricket together in the early days of their career. The cordial bond that they share was quite visible in the DC vs RCB match as well.

Speaking of the clash, Phil, who scored 87 off 45 balls, said that it was for the first time many people saw him bat. He said, "It's the first time a lot of people would have seen me bat. A lot of Indian fans probably watching me for the first time if they don't watch other competitions. I feel like my goal ever since the auction was come here and win games, challenge myself among the best in the world, because realistically we know this is the best domestic league in the world."
