The Day 7 at Tokyo Olympics 2020 turned out to be a fantastic day for Indian contingent. Although India's only hopes of medal on Friday were squashed early in the morning with Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat getting knocked out of women's 25m air pistol qualification rapid event, the nation had some brilliant results on the day thereafter as PV Sindhu and Lovlina Borgohain secured their spots in the semi-finals, with the latter also ensuring a medal.
On the other hand, it was a good day in hockey as well with both men's and women's teams securing wins. While the men's team have already qualified for quarters, women's team have also kept themselves in the hunt with 1-0 win over Ireland.
