The Day 6 at Tokyo Olympics 2020 produced an exciting day for fans across the globe as China once again showed their class to go back to top of the standings of medal tally, displacing Japan. The Chinese contingent clinched medals in table tennis and swimming and went to first spot with 31 medals (15 Gold, 7 Silver, 9 Bronze) to their name. Meanwhile, Japan and USA also had a decent day as they completed the top three.
Talking about some key highlights of the day, USA's Caeleb Dressel set an Olympic Record timing of 47.02 seconds during his gold medal swim in men's 100m freestyle event. China's Zhang Yufei also broke the Olympic Record as she clinched gold medal in women's 200m butterfly with a scintillating timing of 2:03.86. Meanwhile, India dropped down to 46th position as they were not competing for any medals on Thursday.
