It's that time of the year again. All fans of cricket have their eyes set on the Indian Premier League. The season has just started, but it's not too early to talk about who could potentially go all the way and win the whole thing. The IPL trophy is one of the more prestigious club trophies in the sport of cricket. When you look at the number of both domestic and international stars playing during the spring in India, you understand that many of them want to win against their contemporaries.

This year, it appears that the teams haven't been this star-studded before. It is what makes it harder than usual to guess the favorites especially for those who enjoy online sports betting India has to offer as far as cricket is concerned. It is not an easy feat to guess which team will have the capacity to play better than the rest and take home the IPL trophy. The teams listed below are our best guess. Read and tell us, do you agree?

Sunrisers Hyderabad

You do not have to be a cricket and betting expert to suggest that Sunrisers Hyderabad are one of the top favorites this year in the IPL. The team that made it to the final last year stayed together. Nitish Kumar Reddy, Pat Cummins, and Abhishek Sharma all returned. Retaining the core of the team is one thing, but adding the likes of Ishan Kishan, Adam Zampa, and Rahul Chahar is adding layers to their already exquisite roster. This team looks ready to compete, and we can't look past them as being one of the top favorites to win the Indian Premier League. If you agree with us, you can confirm your belief at Sportsbet.io too.

Mumbai Indians

Regardless of their on-field performances, Mumbai Indians are always in the news. We can only hope that this season, they're going to be in it more for their on-field performances, than the off field issues. Hardik Pandya had a tough time leading the team last year as the captain, but the fans need to stand on their team's side if they're to compete in 2025. A team led by Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Tilak Varma needs to do better this time around. If MI manages to shift the focus of both the team and the fans solely at what's occurring on the pitch they will suddenly become a team to beat. For Indians, hitting the top form at the right moment could be the difference between winning the IPL title and not reaching the playoffs. We suggest the former as more likely.

Chennai Super Kings

Only a few years ago the Chennai Super Kings were an army that the rest of the league tried to defeat. At times it would seem that they're playing in the final every year. Recently they haven't been as dominant, but they're far away from being written off as the IPL favorites. When CSK plays at home, at their Chepauk, they're one of the hardest teams to beat. Now that they have Noor Ahmad, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja in the line-up they will be even harder to beat. While their batting is not off the charts, it also shouldn't be underestimated. The likes of Devon Conway, Deepak Hooda, Rahul Tripathi, Sam Curran, Khaleel Ahmed, and Vijay Shankar have plenty to bring to the table. While only occupying the third spot on our list, do not be surprised if Chennai Super Kings go all the way.

Punjab Kings

You have to be really brave to bet on Punjab Kings to go all the way in the Indian Premier League in 2025. While they haven't been as successful in recent years, we believe that they can surprise quite a few people in 2025. At the end of the day, their head coach Ricky Ponting knows how to get the best out of his players, and we know that his relationship with Shreyas Iyer will play a big role this year. The likes of Azmatullah Omarzai, Marco Jansen, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Lockie Ferguson can also make a difference every time they hit the pitch. For all of you unaware, Josh Inglis, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, Yash Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal are also on the roster. Punjab Kings have the ability to surprise many people this season. You might be one of them too, right? As we said, they're not a playoff powerhouse by any means, but if the stars align this season, they could push the regular favorites up to the last run.

The four teams we listed are the top favorites to win the 2025 IPL in our opinion. While the season is long, with plenty of games left to play, we believe that under the right circumstances, any of these teams can win it all.
