Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to face Rajasthan Royals in match number 42 of IPL 2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 24. With this game, RCB will look to finally end their losing streak at home this season. RCB are unbeaten in away matches this year but ended up losing all three matches at home. Speaking on this ahead of the upcoming home game against RR, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar said that there isn’t any excuse for their poor performance at home despite the tricky pitches of M. Chinnaswamy.
“We have not played good cricket in our home matches and you have talked about the toss, it's not in my hand, so, let's see. And this time wickets are a bit tricky and unpredictable over here, but that is not an excuse. So, we'll try to adapt the situation and condition as quick as possible,” Rajat Patidar said at the press conference on the eve of match against RR.
“It is not that if you lose the toss, half the battle is lost because the toss is not in our control. But as a player, if you have to bat first, you would always try to do the best you can in such a situation and conditions. So, we are trying to focus more on that aspect and not on the toss,” he further added.
It's important to learn from the past: Rajat Patidar on how RCB can end their losing streak at home
Speaking further, Rajat Patidar also spoke about how RCB will end their losing streak at home in IPL 2025. RCB are set to play their fourth home this season against Rajasthan Royals. This will be the second face-off between both the team in the ongoing season. In the last encounter, RCB registered a convincing nine-wicket win at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipiur.
"For us, I think it is about being in the present moment because in this league, you have back-to-back matches. So, it's important to learn from the past and learn from the errors. And we don't keep talking about our home matches that we have lost, and we focus on the present as much as possible, which is more important. We always try to do the best on that day," Patidar said.
