IPL 2021 delivered another thrilling contest on Tuesday as Mumbai Indians produced a remarkable comeback with the ball to hand Kolkata Knight Riders a shocking 10-run defeat at Chepauk Stadium on Tuesday.
After being put to bat first, Mumbai Indians lost the early wicket of Quinton de Kock, who had replaced Chris Lynn in the side. However, Rohit Sharma (43 off 32) and Suryakumar Yadav (56 off 36) played superb knocks to take the team's total to 152 on a difficult-looking wicket in Chennai despite Andre Russell's brilliant spell of 5/15.
In reply, KKR were once cruising towards the target on the back of solid knocks from Nitish Rana (57 off 47) and Shubman Gill (33 off 24). However, Rahul Chahar (4/27), Krunal Pandya (1/13) and Trent Boult (2/27) were absolutely brilliant towards the end as Eoin Morgan's side finished their innings on 142/7 after 20 overs.
While the contest would have been a painful watch for KKR fans, there was certainly a lot of entertainment for the others. With such a roller-coaster match for the viewers, the trollers certainly had a busy day with so much on their plate.
