Gujarat Titans have finally faced their second defeat in the 10th game for them. They were defeated by a below-placed Punjab Kings on Tuesday evening. The Mayank Agarwal-led side put on an impressive performance to beat the table-toppers by eight wickets.
It was a complete performance from Punjab Kings as they outclassed Gujarat in all departments. Although Mayank Agarwal lost the toss, Punjab remained on top for the most part of the game. First, they restricted Gujarat to a below-par total (143/8) and then chased it down with 24 balls to spare.
While Kagiso Rabada was the star with the ball for Punjab, it was a collective batting effort from Shikhar Dhawan, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Liam Livingstone to seal the game for their team. While Dhawan tailored another half-century, Rajapaksa impressed with his quickfire 40. Liam Livingstone put the final nail in the coffin with his 10-ball 30*.
