Twitterati were on their feet to applaud Prithvi Shaw as the opener smashed double ton in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Mumbai and Pondicherry at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Shaw scored an unbeaten 227 off 152 balls, an innings laced with 31 fours and 5 sixes. Helped by the knock, Mumbai scored 457/4, the highest score by any team in the tournament history. Notably, Shaw is captaining the side for the first time today.

Meanwhile, middle-order batsman and the new entrant in Indian national team, Suryakumar Yadav, hit a blistering century. He scored 133 runs off just 58 balls with the help of 22 fours and 4 sixes. Along with Shaw, Suryakumar added 201 runs off 105 balls for the third wicket.
